How do we choose an instrument?
For new musicians, I will host an instrument petting zoo right in your home! You will get a chance to try each one and decide which one feels best. After choosing the instrument you want to learn, we will discuss the best rental or purchasing options. All students will need to either rent or buy their own instrument, reeds, books, and cleaning supplies for lessons. For piano students, you will need a keyboard or piano.
Do you offer trial lessons?
If this is your first time with Music by Hannah, you are entitled to a FREE 30 minutes trial lesson to see if it is the right fit for you and your child. During this introduction, you are encouraged to sit in on the lesson and ask any questions you may have. If you decide to move forward, we’ll set up a weekly lesson time.
How long are lessons?
You have a choice of 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons. If you are unsure what would be best for you, ask me and we'll find the perfect fit! We can always adjust our lesson time.
How frequent are lessons?
Lessons are weekly. During our trial lesson, we will discuss what day and time works best for you.
What if we miss a lesson?
Music by Hannah has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a lesson is cancelled by the student within this time period, the lesson will be charged in full. Cancellations due to illness that require a hospital visit, school absence, or emergency action will be credited for a make-up lesson. If there is an emergency cancellation, call or text is the best way to reach me.
Do you do recitals?
At the end of each full-semester session, I will hold a studio performance for a local retirement or assisted living home. This is a great opportunity for young musicians to perform and a nice way to give back to the community! Family and friends are all welcome to attend and cheer on your musician.
How do we pay?
PayPal, Venmo, and Checks made out to Music by Hannah LLC are accepted. No credit cards are accepted at this time.
